skin and blister

This post is special to me because it features my sister, yes blood sister! Her name is Anila. She is a bit lazy and always-on-the-phone, but I love her to death. She doesn't know this but she is super smart and has so much potential. She is also drop-dead-gorgeous and has a model like figure. By the way, she is one of my two younger sisters. I know I don't look the part, but I am the oldest and the wisest in my family!

We took some photos before her graduation party for the blog(you understand I had to!). It was a fun and casual party. I really liked my sister's retro looking dress. So, I did her hair and makeup accordingly. I decided to wear a simple dress myself with a little pop of color. Enjoy the pictures.

Spring/summer 2013 trend ~ ways to wear monochrome

Monochrome is the state of being in a single color. A picture or a painting done in different shades of a single color. It is a black and white image.

I think, monochrome outfits are easiest to pull off by most. Especially, the black and white. You can’t go wrong with black and white. Its classic, clean and crisp.

I like to wear black and white with a little pop of color. Add a colored bag or a vibrant lipstick to make the outfit stand out.

Statement necklaces are something that I would never dream of pulling off until few years ago. I mean, they are bold and colorful and attention seeking. But they don’t have to be that way. They can be used subtly. There are so many choices in market, its ridiculous. Small, big, long, thin, colors, gold, silver, beads and etc.

denim jacket with everything..

I have been adding my denim jacket to every outfit these days. She is so versatile. When weather is around 60s-70s(Fahrenheit), you need a light outerwear for your summer clothes. Denim jacket fits the perfect bill. And, they make outfit more laid back and casual chic.

Don't ask me why I look so mad in the pictures. Probably because, It started raining snow(snow with consistency of rain!) right before I had plan for a good photo-shoot.

This is my first colored pants. I have always been afraid of them, I still am.

 The pictures above are from last Friday evening. That little snow rain became this over the weekend. Schools were closed and parked vehicles were lost in snow! Don't forget to participate in my skincare and fashion giveaways.
