This is the second foundation that I own. The first one was elf mineral foundation. I had never used foundation in my life before. I was always afraid to wear a liquid foundation because it looks very cakey and you know when someone is wearing liquid foundation. I like natural looking makeup with a healthy glow on the skin. I saw the ad of maybelline fit me foundation everywhere. I checked out some youtube reviews on it and decided to get one for me.
Choosing the right color of foundation is difficult. Before I bought the foundation, I researched on how to find your perfect color. You need to swatch the color on the back of your hand. If it blends with the skin color you found your match. I found mine with fit me 220.
What I like about this foundation is that it is very light, almost like a tinted moisturizer. But it does a very decent job of covering all the blemishes or any redness of the skin. This foundation is cremy and is very easy to blend. I think you can build up the foundation for more coverage as well, I prefer one coat. After you apply it, it gives a fresh dewy looking skin. Personally, I love dewy skin but I know not everyone likes it. You can always use a powder foundation after that to balance it. It doesn't smell like the conventional foundation. It smells good(i dont know how to describe the smell, its not bad i swear!). Also, they have testers so you can test the color on your skin before you buy them(a huge plus point, i think!). You can find these foundations at general drugstores like walmart, kmart and so on. The cost is very affordable, about 6$-$7 USD. You get good amount of product. The staying power is pretty good. It will stay all day. I believe they have 18 shades. Little goes long way.
What I dont like about this product is the packaging. I mean the bottle is great looking but it doesn't have a pump. This foundation might not be suitable for oily skin. This foundation leaves your skin soft and almost moisturized, so with oily skin this might not work out.
