review: Nine West persephone boots

Happy Monday !

One of my blog resolution this year is to do more reviews on products that I buy and that are available in the stores. I almost never buy anything without reading reviews. Detailed reviews are extremely helpful, especially when you are trying to buy something online. Today I am going to review these nine west black leather persephone boots that I bought from zappos.com.
The shoes come in two options leather and suede. I really liked how black suede looked, but I chose the leather one eventually. I am not a huge fan of suede material….I don't know. I feel like they get dirty fast and so on. Anyways, there are few colors available for these boots. But, I have noticed black leather sells out fast....on zappos at least. I found few other websites that sell these black ones. Just google and type "nine west persephone boots" and you should be able to find them. I also did not find these boots on ninewest official website !

So, I got the black leather, M width US size 6. The boots are good-looking. They look tall, sleek and sophisticated. The matte leather and heels make them even more attractive. The heels are around 3 inches and are comfortable to walk in. I also find the crease lining interesting. It looks as if the ankle boots morphed into tall boots.
But I have to say, these run narrow especially on the ankle area. When I am zipping up the shoes, I kind of have to watch and work on the ankle part and after that its smooth. These are not the kind of boots that you can wear with thick socks inside. But, since its leather it will probably stretch and get more comfortable in time. The calf area is pretty roomy though.
See, my feet are already pretty narrow. My shoe size runs between US size 5-6. I always get my boots US size 6 because I like to keep a little room around my toes area. These are knee-high boots and I happen to be 5 feet tall. They hit right on the middle of my knees. I think they would look even better on someone taller than me. But, it doesn't look bad on me either. I think they look pretty hot on me, if I may say so. ;-o
I definitely recommend these boots to women who have small narrow feet. You might want to go one size up. The boots are extremely comfortable if they fit. They look great with skinny pants, leggings and dresses/skirts. They fit me great once I dump the thick socks. They make my feet look small and feminine.

Unfortunately not a great choice for someone with wider feet.

Till next time. ~ Asta
